Invitation to the Augustana Seminary Intercultural Service
on the 1st Sunday after Trinity (6 June 2021) and as part of the Sermon Series on "Courage":
"Dancing is praying with your feet", as they say in Africa. "Music is a gift from God", Martin Luther says. We praise God in the encounter between drums and organ, song and dance, and in different languages - in ecumenical community with World Christianity.
Inspired by the miracle of diversity at Pentecost, we seek God's presence in the "Inter-Dance-Drum-Worship". There is a time for everything under heaven: weeping and laughing, lamenting and dancing (Ecclesiastes 3:4).
Our ecumenical worship team is looking forward to seeing you: The families Elizabeth Silayo and Dorcas Parsalaw, Rev. Klaus Dotzer (Mission EineWelt), Samuel Odai Mensah and Elliot Mohlamme (Munich), Franka Plößner, Hannah Lichtinger, Prof. Mwaura and Prof. Walz (Augustana).
The dialogue-sermon will be given by Prof. Dr. Philomena Mwaura and Prof. Dr. Heike Walz.
